Last night I attended the 7 FOR ALL MANKIND new store opening in Covent Garden to try on some new denim and perhaps win 1000 pound shopping spree. Yes, I wore a pair of 7FAM jeans because I felt like it would improve my chances of winning. It did not. The winning ticket pulled was number 49 and my ticket was number 50. Can you believe how close that was? I thought to protest and demand a re-draw since I had already picked out all the pairs I wanted in my size, but then I decided against it. I didn't want to cause a scene.
I did try on a few pairs while I was there. A skinny gray that fit like a glove and a pair of the lime green ones that caught my eye. For the record, I'm not a colored denim fan. I just have a thing where I feel denim should only be white, gray, black, and all shades of blue. (Is that weird?) The lime version is usually not a color I would opt for, but for some reason I liked them... I think I was feeling summery.
There was a very cool D.J. (she had pink hair), an open bar, and some stylish shoppers. I enjoyed a glass of what was quite possibly the most sour orange juice I've ever had. Now that I think about it, it could have very well been orange colored lime juice! I danced a little, found lots of jeans to add to my never ending shopping list, and met a few nice people. The store was cute and had helpful staff. All and all a good time was had by all. I will make another trip back when the store isn't as crowded to see how many pairs I can try on. I'm still pretty bummed about not winning the shopping spree, but if they open another store in London, I'll definitely try again.
