This is the outfit I chose for my Sunday in the City. The top is Yves Saint Laurent and I rescued it from the boutique in New York. I'm typically not a huge fan of prints, but this one spoke to me. It was the very last one they had and it was my size so obviously it was meant to come home with me. At least that's what I told myself as I signed the card receipt... The high waisted skirt I've had for years and I'm so happy that it still fits. I love a skirt with pockets, it just feels right. It has proven to have been an essential piece in my wardrobe. The shoes are the Extreme Hole Pump from Louis Vuitton and are the epitome of the term "cab to curb". If you look closely you will see that the bit of support that you would normally have under your arch is missing. I tried them on, they stole my heart, I purchased them and gave them a good home. The truth is they are not for much walking, but more for posing. The timepiece is my LV medium Tambour. The clutch is my favorite YSL Belle du Jour in black patent leather. Since my move to London, I have been very open to embrace the English tradition of small hats on Sundays. I found this one with a feather and a veil and thought, why not? This outfit is perfect for a Sunday afternoon or perhaps a sunny September day in Paris...
