Someone once asked me why I hit the streets to take pictures during Fashion Week. The answer is quite simple: I love Fashion. I love to see Fashion and I love to be around Fashion. Women and men who love Fashion will sometimes spend all year saving a special piece that will only be worn once for fear of being photographed in the same outfit twice. I think that's fantastic. What better time to showcase your most cherished pieces that you've collected through the year than during Fashion Week when all eyes are watching to see what next seasons signature color will be? I implore you to wear your impractically high heels and your sharply tailored dresses with your magnificent head piece. Why not? It puzzles me at the people who play coy. Make no mistake, no matter what these women say, they all want their picture taken. Including me. So, please stop pretending its not what you want. We all know you do!
On Day 2 of New York Fashion Week I was hanging out around Milk Studios when I took these photos. Shooting street style photographs is not as easy as it looks, especially in 5 inch heels, but I managed a few shots. I snapped Linda Fargo of Bergdorf Goodman, Moda Operandi's Lauren Santo Domingo, and two super stylish girls. My favorite photo of the day is of Phil Oh of Street Peeper and the esteemed street style photographer, Tommy Ton of Jak & Jil. They were having a smoke break when they graciously posed for me. These are certainly two cool guys.
