I am always pleasantly surprised when I come across a frock that I absolutely love when I wasn't even looking for one. Such was the case with my gray T BY ALEXANDER WANG dress. Amongst a sea of black garments, this dress stood out and caught my eye. Being partial to the color gray, I was immediately drawn to it. This dress is from Wang's Spring / Summer 2014 collection and features a racer back halter top with a center front zipper. In fact, a lot of the looks from that show featured center front zippers. This sort of flared skirt makes this a perfect dress to twirl in. When I put it on and gave it a whirl, you could imagine my delight when I realized the frock also has pockets. I do love a dress with pockets...
T BY ALEXANDER WANG is a label typically know for their cotton t shirts, casual basics, and minimalistic color palette. This dress is made of cotton lined with neoprene and it feels just as comfortable as my favorite t shirt. For my walk through the city, I paired this ensemble with my black suede GUCCI IMAN SANDALS. These sandals were a perfect match for the sporty vibe of this frock.
In the middle of Union Square Park stands Independence Flagstaff. Surrounded by green trees and little birds, the monument commemorates the signing of the Declaration of Independence. It features a procession of allegorical characters representing democracy and tyranny. The declaration reads that as people we all have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. For me, Fashion is my life, my liberty, and it definitely makes me happy.
